Den Abschluss der Vorstellung unserer Neuzugänge macht jemand, der eigentlich überhaupt kein Neuzugang mehr ist:
Christian Felke – Saxophone, Vocals & add. Guitar & Bass
Zunächst als Vertretung von Michael Unger zu echoes gekommen, hat sich Christian in kürzester Zeit zur festen Größe entwickelt. Neben seinen Saxophonen steuert er eine tolle Gesangsstimme und – falls nötig – auch zusätzliche Akustik-Gitarren oder einen Bass bei. Und bei den Acoustic Shows bedient er zusätzlich Klarinette, Flöte und Percussion. Woher er das alles kann? Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass er über Jahrzehnte hinweg festes Mitglied der Tourbands von Reinhard Fendrich und Klaus Lage war. Und Wolf Maahn, Tony Carey und Wolfgang Ambros holten sich Christian für ihre Produktionen ins Studio. Erfahrung ist eben wie Hubraum: durch nichts zu ersetzen. Und wenn Christian doch mal ersetzt werden muss, stehen Michael Unger oder Lee Mayall (noch ein Engländer!) bereit.
The introduction of our newcomers is rounded off by someone who is no longer a newcomer at all:

Initially joining echoes as a replacement for Michael Unger, Christian has quickly become a permanent fixture. In addition to his saxophones, he contributes a great singing voice and – if necessary – additional acoustic guitars or a bass. And at the acoustic shows he also plays clarinet, flute and percussion. How does he do all this? Perhaps it’s because he was a permanent member of Reinhard Fendrich’s and Klaus Lage’s touring bands for decades. And Wolf Maahn, Tony Carey and Wolfgang Ambros brought Christian into the studio for their productions. Experience is like engine capacity: nothing can replace it. And if Christian ever needs to be replaced, Michael Unger or Lee Mayall (another Englishman!) are ready to step in.
