„Nur Engländer verstehen alle Anspielungen und Bedeutungen in den Lyrics von Pink Floyd“ – so heißt es. Und wahrscheinlich stimmt das auch. Nicht nur aus diesem Grund haben wir uns einen waschechten Engländer zu echoes geholt: Colin Dodsworth, selbst großer Pink Floyd-Fan, wird uns Pink Floyd noch näher bringen, als das bisher schon der Fall war. Aber natürlich ist das bei weitem nicht seine einzige Qualifikation: Colin ist ein sehr guter Gitarrist, hat eine tolle, floydige Stimme, ist ein „native speaker“ und verkörpert auf der Bühne das ebenso typische wie sympathische „British understatement“, welches auch David Gilmour, Nick Mason und Rick Wright zu eigen ist bzw. war. Dazu kommt, dass er Pink Floyd schon jahrelang live performed hat und deshalb sowohl als Fan als auch Musiker voll im Thema ist.

Not only for this reason have we brought a genuine Englishman to echoes: Colin Dodsworth, himself a big Pink Floyd fan, will bring Pink Floyd even closer to us than has been the case so far. But of course, that’s by no means his only qualification: Colin is a very good guitarist, has a great, Floydian voice, is a „native speaker,“ and embodies on stage the equally typical and sympathetic „British understatement“ which David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Rick Wright also possess or possessed. In addition, he has been performing Pink Floyd live for years, so he is fully immersed in the theme both as a fan and a musician.
